1990s
|
By the 1990s, consumer attitudes and lifestyles had changed with an increasing awareness of healthy, low-fat cooking. Families also began experimenting in the kitchen with Asian and Mediterranean cuisines and Breville responded by developing high performance electric woks and health grills.
Café culture was also growing and Breville recognized that consumers wanted to enjoy café style focaccias at home, which led to the invention of the Sandwich Press and world acclaimed Juice Fountain™. |
Before the Juice Fountain™, making juice was fiddly and messy. This remarkable piece of engineering removed the need to cut fruit. A Juice Fountain™ is on display in Sydney's Powerhouse Museum as a leading example of Australian design. |
