BBM100 -a good basic unit

"One week in and so far so good. The results from my first few loaves have been excellent. The only problem I've found has been with Lighthouse prepackaged White Vienna mix - it rises quite a lot and the top of the loaf has pressed against the top cover and not allowed the hot air to circulate to properly cook the top. Not putting in the total amount of yeast supplied - say, reducing it by a gram or so - might solve the problem. The other bread mixes I tried - again, Lighthouse products - were fine.

Family reaction has been very positive, with one extended family member putting in an order for a couple of loaves for a planned dinner.

Is this a 'bells and whistles' breadmaker, no. But it has enough features to let me see, fairly inexpensively, if breadmaking might be something I'll want to continue doing.

Cut to the chase: easy to use, easy to clean up afterwards. What more could you want in a simple machine?
